I'm kinda in.  I know that I will have at least 2 no spend days but not sure about the rest of the week.  Today the only money out will be a check I have to give DS#2 to pay for his boy scout camping trip this weekend.  So, $15.00 should be all that I have going out today.

    Kinda in is good!

Today have my meals all planned out, staying home tonight to do homework and house work so no money out!

I will report back tonight with a No SPend day (hopefully)!

Not planning to spend today and I too have all my meals planned out.  Staying home as much as possible which will also help resist the urge to stop somewhere and buy something!

This weekend was an eye opener.  DH has set up some very nasty payment plans on the 15th of each month.  So when that happens our account is hit very hard.  I forget all that he has coming out at that time, and was furious with our account balance.  Needless to say we had a very frugal weekend and will continue on that throughout this week.

DH gets paid again on Wednesday, I get paid on Friday.  I'm hoping I can make it gas wise until Wednesday.  I'm sure I can.

We've been eating from the pantry/freezer, fridge, and haven't been skimpy at all.

Saturday breakfast we had cream of wheat with hot cocoa and oranges, lunch  we had frozen pizza with salad, and dinner was chicken cordon blue with baked potatoes and broccoli with cheese.  Sunday we had oatmeal with vegetable juice, lunch was macaroni and cheese with bananas and green beans and dinner was turkey breast with oriental salad and glazed carrots.

Tonight we'll have spaghetti, garlic bread and salad.

Kudos Suellen.  That is wonderful.  Please give us some pointers on how you are doing it.

I'm in this week.  I purchased enough groceries to round us out until the 27th when I get paid.  DH got paid on the 16th however with the car payments, insurance, utilities, DS's shoes and oil changes in two vehicles its pretty well gone.  I have bunko tomorrow night and that's $20.00 so technically I won't make it all week without spending but I hope to get close.  I have decided to drop out of bunko so that will save me $20.00 a month as well as the cost of the ingredients for my addition to the potluck we serve prior to playing, not to mention valuable time at home since I'm gone from 6:45 to 10:00 p.m.

    Keep on Savin'.

    Hi all,

No spend day, but tomorrow I have to stop and pick up something from Staples, but it shouldn't be too much.

I feel pretty good about this week!  Friday, I get to make some money working on computers so that will help lots.

All meals planned out for tomorrow and rest of week actually.

suellen, what is your secret, do you have a single double or quadruple income?  ;-)

Well, yesterday I didn't spend any money!  Woo Hoo!

Today though, I have spent about $32.  DS is chef of the week and so I got the ingredients for his class.  Also, DD needed pullups so I grabbed them at the store-they were on sale but not as cheap as Costco.  However, the other things on my Costco list can wait so I decided to spend $15 at the store and put off the $75 or so I would need from Costco.  There was also salad on sale that ended today and DD ate all my grape tomatoes so bought more of those.  So not a no spend but kept it to the minimum.

Shouldn't spend anymore today.  Tomorrow, I do need a birthday gift for a party DS was invited to.

I'm really upset with our cash situation.  On the positive side however, bills are being paid regularly.  Plus it's forcing me to deal with the situation, rather than bury my head like I have a habit of doing.

Today was cereal with fruit, lunch was leftover spaghetti with garlic bread and pineapple chunks, dinner will be tostado's.  DS will make up a batch of brownies and frost them then decorate with candy corn.  Those should be plenty sweet.

I NEED gas, but it's going to have to wait until tomorrow morning, when DH's check hits the bank.  Luckily I don't have any appointments tonight and the family can stay home.

Jennylyn, may I be so bold as to ask what you give for bday presents?  Our Dear Foster Daughter was invited to a friends (boy) birthday.  We didn't have a clue what to give.  I recently read an article about making mini baskets of pampering goods.  We ended up giving a gift card.  I know that there has to be better cheaper more imaginative gifts than that.  I try and get some books, but have depleted the stash.  I was thinking about getting some gift cards and keeping some of those on hand in our birthday bin.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not a no spend day here for me.  Tuesday is payday for us so I grocery shopped this morning but stayed under my budget.  I put gas in my truck and gave DH money for gas and his pocket money (money we each get that we can spend however we choose).  I went to hobby lobby but the money I spent was my pocket money that I"ve been saving for several weeks.  I needed some sewing supplies and craft items for some projects I am working on.  I also paid several bills.  So even though I didn't have a no spend day it was all planned spending and there weren't any surprises.
