Spent the last hour online looking for that critter, and found out the following: Earliest known white apple variety, still being grown, was the 1540 Calville Blanc d'Hiver, which looks exactly like my apple, but specifically listed as a cooker, which lets my Strawberry out. Davenport heirloom apple collection does have an Early Strawberry from the 1700's, a Washington Strawberry, which is a red apple, and other collections have a White Pippin, couldn't find out much on this one, a White Pearmain, which is a dessert apple and my personal suspect, and a White Astrakhan, which is a cooking apple. Mine was ripe early September, so I don't know if this is an early, midseason, or late apple for you.
