my DD was at a big store she called me she said Mama this is a picture of Peppermint bark for 4 oz they want  $3.25 that makes it $ 13..00 a pound  I called around it average between $13.00 to the candy shoppe there its # 18.50 a pound

    peppermint bark

    1 lb of white chocolate
1lb of dark or milk chocolate
    24 candy canes (small) crushed

Melt chocolate in microwave and spread on a jelly sheet on top of wax paper. Let cool

Then do the same with the white chocolate. Before cool, sprinkle the crushed canies on top, and cool for 2 hours in fridge

Hi Everyone!  This is my first post ever!

My son and daughter-in-law used to buy the very expensive peppermint bark, but now they beg me to make it for them.  The only thing I do differently is add about 3 or 4 DROPS of peppermint oil to the white chocolate after it's melted.  Gives it a bit more of a pepperminty flavor.

Williams-Sonoma sells it and it extremely expensive to purchase. It was over $25.00 for 2 pounds.
