    Re: What was for Supper?

Last night DH was at school so the kids and I had the chicken stir fry from the Angel Food box this month. I paired it with a box of egg rolls I got at Walgreens for 1.99. I added some chicken to the stir fry to make sure the boys got enough protien it was great. Even the kids liked it!!

I don't know what is going on for tonight. I have to do food shopping today. We are out of a lot of stuff. Eggs especially!! I really wish I could raise chickens here but the town won't allow it unless you have at least 3 acres. I really miss my frest eggs.....

    Re: What was for Supper?

Last night dd and dsil  came to pick up their dd that I was watching.  They usually don't stay more than 5 min.  They had been there almost 1 1/2 hours when I realized they were not leaving anytime soon, so I decided to look for something I could make for all of us.  I grabbed a bag of shrimp from the freezer and 2 boxes of pasta and 2 cans of beans and made that for all of us.  We had such a good time together.  They have not been over in a while so this was fun.  It was nice to know that part of the house was clean and that the freezer and pantry were stocked and I could pull something together in less than 25 min.

Tonight we are having hamburger steaks with brown gravy, mashed potatoes and a salad.

Yesterday I made a pork roast in the crockpot and we had some broccoli and carrots and macaroni and cheese with it.  Tonight we're having stuffed shells and salad.

So last night I ended up making the ham steaks from the angel food box. I cooked 2 and I am using the leftovers today and making corn chowder in the crock pot. It is fall but it is still 80 degrees here so getting into the soups is a little tough but it should be filling. Tomorrow fajitas again from the angel food October box. Ole'!!
