Never tell the cats you are low or out. They somehow know what you are saying and may never forgive you.

I miss our cats terribly. So much character in small bodies.

I'm definitely in for October!  I really need to get more focused in this area.

I am planning a budget of $800 for the month of October.  This is more than I usually plan but I have not been sticking to our budget so need to raise it.  This is for everything food and household, including the baby formula and diapers plus pullups for DD-these are a big part of our budget currently!

So far I have spent $33.58 on a few fresh items and loss leaders.  Going to do my best to stick to it!!

I spoke too soon!  I went to sift flour for my pie crust -- filled with worms!  UGH!!!!  Threw it all out -- the all purpose, bread and whole wheat -- b/c they were all filled with worms.  My cornmeal was in a zip top bag b/c it was opened some time ag  Went to walmart and bought 1 of each to replace those that were lost.  Also bought a small package ground flax and a bag of sugar (cheapest of the season so far).  So that added $15 to the $7 for stuff I forgot b/c I forgot I needed to make chocolate ganache this weekend before I made it officially for DD's school cake sale.  Still under budget for the week, but really didn't have that planned!

All the flours are in the freezer right now and I will just have to finish my baking tomorrow.

The whole point of turkey is to get to the pie.

Do you want mine? I'm about to wring the little bugger's neck. She has been underfoot all day, and seems to run in my path lately. Then she complains that I accidentally stepped on her.

And don't get me started on the litter box issues she has...

    Anyway, you want her?  LOL

Sunshine, how terrible that there were worms.  Did you just buy it?

Just myself eating right now as DH is still on feeding tube - praying he will be eating by Thanksgiving

I hope to keep it under $100.00 this month.

If Harris Teeter has the pink ribbon socks they had last year I'll be spending $$$ for them as Mom adores them and they fit nicely. It's a once a year purchase.

Brandy, they are great to have around... except when you are trying to take a timed test online!  Ugh... they kept really getting in the way!

    Love'em
