    If you go to the search box on the upper right and type in "canning" you will find quite a few discussions about it. Feel free to ask specific questions - we have some expert canners on the forums.

    thank you !  I need to know if placing the seal on the jars after the water bath process (tomatoes), destroyed them? they sealed great .

    I'm not sure what you're asking, but you're supposed to put the lid and ring on the jars before water bath canning them. If they weren't in sealed jars at the time of processing, they weren't canned. Read this: http://www.stretcher.com/stories/08/08aug18e.cfm for water bath canning instructions.
