THose of you who are used to coming to the Food Stamps Forum will notice a new name.  This Governmental & Charity Assistance Forum is the place to come with any of your questions about "including but not limited to":

SSI (Supplemental Security Income)

SSDIB (Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits)

Medicare

Medicaid ("Medi-Cal" in CA, may have otehr names in other States)

Temporary Aid to Needy Families ("TANF"), used to be called General Assistance/"welfare"

SNAP/Food Stamps

Public Housing & Section 8 rent vouchers

Private food programs like food pantries, Meals on Wheels

HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) & any otehr energy-assistance programs
