    My Trader Joe's Nylon Scrubbies

Okay. Maybe I could've made them cheaper myself, but the thing is that I found them for sale recently at Trader Joe's. I liked the thought of having something that would not rust like a Brillo pad. I paid $2.99 for 4 of them.

Last night I used one to work on the burned on stuff in my little frying pan. I had soaked the pan overnight with hot water, Palmolive , and baking soda. There was still stuff that needed to come off the pan. I was able to remove it with the nylon scrubby.

I really liked how easy it was to use and it was easy on my fingers. I believe that I can wash it out by putting it in the top shelf of the dishwasher. It'll last a lot longer than a Brillo pad would last.Inflation fighter

I'll be purchasing more of them the next time I go to Trader Joe's.

I use nylon scrubbies all the time.  I buy them at the grocery store in 3 packs for $1.99, but haven't bought them for a while, so the price may have gone up.

These ones looked a little different than the ones I used to see at Harris Teeter. I also got some neat sponges.

This Friday my widowed friend and I are going to Trader Joe's and she's going to buy some nylon scrubbies.

Another way to soak a pan with cooked-on food if you have a flat-top stove is to pour water in the pan and set it back on the still-hot (but turned off) burner. It heats the water and usually works pretty well loosening cooked-on food but won't eliminate the need for a scrubber.

I'll have to remember that. Thanks.

I used to buy these...they are nylon on the outside with a great little square sponge in the middle. I didn't buy enough of them unfortunately because Trader Joes has quit selling them. When I asked a clerk if maybe another TJs would have them he said "not unless they bought 1000 cases of them over two years ago". I'm so disappointed! I suppose you could make them with nylon from the fabric store and sponge material but thankfully I have two that I've been able to keep disinfected to use. Man Trader Joe, you hosed me!
