Whoops, I didn't mean this to be my very first post but I just had to ask....did the original sheet idea possibly refer to switching it around entirely, not just turning it from top to bottom? You'd be sleeping on the "unslept" side of the sheet if so.

For some reason I imagined it that way and it does seem slightly more sanitary.

That said, I'm new and just loving the Dollar Stretcher community...lots of good stuff!!!!  Here's a wave hello!    Smile Misski

I meant to add to turn the sheets over, but I didn't.

When I was a student many years ago in France, the families I boarded with would switch the top sheet to the bottom after a week, and only wash the bottom sheet each week. In general, they hung sheets and blankets over the balcony every day it wasn't raining - to freshen them - and washed things much less frequently. No staph that I ever heard of. ldc

Oh and those commercials where they squeeze a good inch or two of toothpaste onto the toothbrush drive me nuts! lol

I put just a dab of liquid soap on my fingers to wash my hands, literally about the size of half a dime or so, and it still lathers up great. I bought that bottle of liquid soap march of this year, (I wrote the date on the bottom) and it's still going strong!
