Even my 14 yo ds said, mom, you whould make more of that salad. The produce from the farm is much more delicious than produce from the store, it seems.
I am in much better shape than ever before with food storage. Today bought two boullions, and two olive oils, one to use and one to store. The boullion I love is called Better than Boullion, it is expensive, $5.80 each, but each has 38 servings in a jar to refridgerate. We were at a specialty food store- LL will know when I say we were at Byerlys, and much to my surprise, we checked out with $62, and the cashier gave us a $15 gift card! This week, they are giving away $15 gift cards with $50 purchases. Now I am tempted to go once again, the card woulld be very handy for diapers, paper products, or to use as a gift.
I am confident that we won't need to go that frugal again in the near future. I have lots of food storage and lots of farm produce yet coming, the best of two worlds! Tonight enjoyed tomatoes from my garden and lettuce from the farm on morningstar burgers, and yesterday oldest dd boiled cabbage to have with sandwiches for dinner, while I was at school. Also tonight opened our first jar of pickles, they are very good, if I do say so myself.
I have $375 left until 9/13, I am hoping to carry over $300. We are stocked but need some items.
