Deb, I am so thankful that you have JFCS and Chicken soupers and your fellow congregants to be your guardian angels! I have been reading your posts and had a thought go through my head: Have you ever thought about menu writing? You may think it is only a description of what you receive, but your descriptions sound so wonderful and appetizing! If I had a restaurant I would want you to write the menu!

Dear All, For many, many years, 2 synagogues intown, 1 my Reform that I'm now a member of (Cong Sherith Israel -- The REmnant of Israel) & the Conserviative that I used to be a member of (CCcong Beth Sholom -- House of Peace) participated in Chicken Soupers, the delivery program every otehr Sunday.  This month, a 3rd congregation (REform EmanuEl -- G-d is with us) decided to do a partial dellivery.  Instead of delivering entrees plllus a grocery bag, they delivered a grocery bag yesterday.  Very kind of htem.  They brought:  Yours in Hiim, Deb

2 Red Delicious apples

1 huge Valencia orange

a qt of organic chicken broth

3 mint teabags

a can of tuna

bottled water, just the right size to carry along with Heart's folding water bowl (I can refill it, 8 oz)

chili beans

kidney beans

Colgate Total toothpaste -- now, this is a real blessing, as I ws out once I complete the current toothpsste canister

sample sizes of shampoo, lotion, & shower gel -- I use all the samples I get in hollday/birthday baskets, as most of you do

Sara Lee multi-grain bread  (I now have a LOT of bread.  I freeeeze it, & can easily use it all up. I LOVE bread, & eat it daily.)

Dear Anne, You so kindly brought to me today 7 entrees via Project Open Hand, AND broccoli, red leaf lettuce, 2 luscious yellow tomatoes (I know how good they were because I already ate them!), organic kale, vanilla Activia, organic cracked wheat bread, a Fuji apple,a persimmon, & 2 Japanese eggplants.  I'll surely get my 7 serviings/day of produce iin this week!  I cannot thank you enough for your on-going kindness & generosiity.  {{{Hugs}}} Deb
