Dear Martha MFI, Tempeh is fermented & tempeh is a soy product.  I thought that I didn't like it because I had only had the smoked form raw,but cooked it tastes great!  Love in Hiiim, Deb

Dear Luvd_Lioness, I'll put in a wword for them to expand the delllivery area (just joshing)!  Love in Hiiim, Deb

Yes & no, dear Martha.  Tempeh is a soy product like tofu, but it's fermented & tofu is just a cheese unfermented.  Love in Him, Deb

Dear All, Chicken Soupers from my former congregation was delivered by a good friend, & I enjoyed speaking with her very much.

It was a special delivery for Rosh HaShanah -- athe Jewish New Year -- with honey cake & honey.  The meals were chicken salad, sweet & sour meatballs (2 meals worth),, & baked chicken wiith kugel (sweet noodle pudding).  The soups were chicken & mushroooom barley.  There was a 2lb loaf of ciabotta bread.

There was also a qt of chicken broth, tuna, 10 oz of multi-grain crackers, a large nectarine, large peach, w2 large Granny Smith apples (ooe I'll dip in honey for he holiday), & a large Nave l   orange.  There were 8 assorted teabags.  There were peanuts, a can of peach slices, grape juice, M&M's, 2 granola bars, 4 home-made cookies, Mini-Wheats, tuna, & raisins.

I've decided to donate to the Food Bank via the barrel at shul/synagogue all of my non-MWable food, such as pasta.  JFCSS also delivered me a lb of pasta & popcorn & some Hi-C & alll of that is going into this week's bag for me to brign to shul.  Actually,  it will be next week's since this week si the holiday!

Quite a cornucopia for the holiday!  Yours in Him, Deb

Such a good variety and how special for the holiday! (the honey cake and honey) Smile

It was a thought of mine, since you are not eating the full meals at one sitting now, is there a way to stretch the meals from one week to two? I'm just trying to picture all that food with what you buy at WF, if there is a way to cut down to every other week to help slim down (from all that great food!)?

Dear Luvd_Lioness, I get Weds food deliveries from JFCS EVERY Weds + Chicken Soupers deliveries 2ce/mo (not necessarily every other week).  I am not finishing meals, but I am not keeping uneaten food either.  There is just too little left in the dish to keep it, when I have so many other meals.  I am just tossing what's left (which isn't more than 1/4-1/2 c).  My weight has remained at a plateua since I recovered from my April severe illlness.  I just want to lose weight to get back to my pre-illlness weight (a 10-lb difference).  THANKS for thinking up ways to help me,, though!  Keep at it!  Love in Him, Deb
