Rain, rain go away! That is my song. There were flash floods late last evening.

My lettuce is still growing same as Newfs, can make myself pull it up but should and replant something. Have one small pumpkin growing, one acorn squash, a few zuchinni. Lots of blooms on all the those. Peas are starting to fill out . Beans are growing like crazy but no blooms yet.

If we would have a week of no rain, I would be so happy. Babs

I so agree - this New England weather has been horrible lately.   My plants are ok but they so need more sun.   My peppers are rather puny with nothing sprouting yet.   Tomatoes are the healthiest as are the marigolds.   Basil - ehh, zucchini - not so bad, squash and cukes have a whitish staining on the plants - not sure what that is - they have flowers and are starting to fruit.

     Babs,

I am afraid my garden will drown if we don't get some sun. Did you get the hail storm recently? The hailstones were larger than marbles, and I lost 2 tomato plants. I'm surprised I didn't lose the entire garden. Apparently the hail did some major damage to some farmers' crops.

Seaturtle, we havent had the hail but so much rain. My little cukes are turning yellow. I have had so many bugs. Slugs are awful. I am very discouraged about the garden. Also my apple trees had so many apples and a lot have fallen off from the hard rain. Babs

Between my dismal garden, not getting to hang out my clothes to dry and my kids going stir crazy from crummy weather I'm going bonkers and my pocket book isn't fairing that well either.  It's not raining right now but yep the forecast shows rain every day.   Of course I just put clothes on the line which means those scatter showers will end up here soon - :(

I have lettuce and swiss chard to cut in pots today! they are far ahead of the lettuce and chard that i planted in the garden.

Time to spray again for potato beetles....they are the absolute worse this year!!

I have baby Atlantic Giant pumpkins on the vine yippee! My other squash is still developing blossom ends. My green beans were replanted but pathetic this year. I hope I have enough canned from last year to get by. The pea trellis didn't get put up so the pea plants are laying on the ground. Lots and lot of potatoes, sweet corn is so-so. Might be knee high by the fourth of July but usually it's hip-high so i consider it behind. Cucumbers are growing like weeds as are radishes and turnips.

If nothing else we'll be eating pumpkins, potatoes, turnips and cucumbers this year!

Still nursing my tomato plants along on stakes....I had to replant some that got hit with frost.

Super hot here!  108 yesterday!  Trying to keep the plants hydrated, they are doing well but worried the heat will get to them.

Harvesting more squash than we can eat, pull a couple every day almost!  The tomatoes are about to fully ripen on the romas, I'll make some tomato sauce or something from them.  Picked my first early girl yesterday, have a bunch more about to turn red.  The beefsteaks are prolific BUT there seems to be a sudden blossom end rot problem.  Need to investigate.

Lots of peppers, the heat has been great for turning them!  They have been green for awhile, the heat has caused them to rapidly start changing to red and yellow-both the chilis and the bells.  The cucumbers are producing a lot too.  The melon plants are huge, tons of flowers but don't see too many melons yet, just some tiny ones.  The corn has flowers so far too.

The heirlooms are FINALLY producing!  I have been gently shaking them to encourage pollination every other day or so.  They have finally set fruit, I think it was a pollination problem on those.  Can't wait to eat them!
