    P&G eSaver

I got an email from Kroger today about coupons and learned that I can put P&G brandsaver coupons on my Kroger card instead of trying to get out and buy a newspaper when the inserts comes out!   You probably already knew this but I thought I'd share just in case.  You can choose which items you wish to have coupons for instead of having them all.

I was reading something about Upromise and loading ecoupons to your rewards cards.   I'll have to check into the P&G thing and if my stores do it too - we don't have Kroger here.

Do you have any Kroger-owned stores?  We don't have Kroger but do have Scotts which they bought out about a year and a half or so ago.

BTW, on the P&G site, it gave you options to add coupons to your other shopping cards as well.  I didn't see any others in my area but you never know.

Hi ... the Upromise ecoupons are not actual money-off coupons - the 'money' saved is applied to your college account.

Have you tried ... cellfire.com or shortcuts.com ... these two places allow you to load ecoupons onto your shopper cards (not available at all stores or states) and can be combined with a paper coupon for double savings.

I do use shortcuts.com and that one was also listed in the Kroger email I received yesterday. I am going to check out cellfire.com., never heard of it. Unless I get coupons in the mail, I don't get many.  I subscribed to the Sunday paper for a while but as I started cooking more from scratch and bargain shopping, I was saving less than it cost me to get the paper delivered.  I cancelled that subscription.

    Thanks for the web addy!

You're welcome ... Have you ever visited couponmom.com  - The info is all free and visit the forum, too. I cook alot from scratch, get many food and non-food items for free, and always check the sales, including the drug stores. We have to save where we can these days ... Kim

I have looked at that site in the past but really haven't used it much.  I'll have to check it out again.  Grocery shopping already takes me 2+ hours a week and that's after several hours of planning ahead at home. lol  When I was getting the paper, I did go to CVS and take advantage of sales and coupons.  Those extra care bucks always expired before I used them so I stopped doing that.  Recently, we've started checking out Walgreens more but I haven't been shopping yet.  I've been sticking to around $80 per week for a family of four buying both groceries and non-food items with that budget.  I'm sure I could do better, I just have to work a bit harder at it.  That's why I'm here!  I appreciate all of the tips and suggestions I've found here.  You guys are awesome!

One thing .. those e-saver coupons aren't  the same ones  you'll find in the inserts. Not as many of them, either.   On the other hand, a couple of them are better than the inserts, so it may be worth looking at..

Allie, I strongly urge you to read up on using coupons and the drug store deals.  I started about a year ago from a comment on here, I think.  Someone mentioned moneysavingmom.com and I went to check her out.  I was hooked.  She taught me HOW to do the CVS deals (their ads are also on-line) with her article called CVS 101.  I read her every day and get so many great deal ideas from her!  I also use the couponmom.com site for grocery deals.  It's VERY easy to do.  Just go to the link on her page "Grocery Deal by State."  You can select your state and stores near you.  Once you pull up the list for that week, go to the far right column and click on the little upside down arrow.  The list will sort from highest to lowest % saved.  I usually only look at the lists from the highest (FREE!) to about 50% off.  I do browse a little lower just in case there is a good deal on meat - it's rarely more than 30% off.  I go stock up on the things we use each week and then I have it when we need it.  And I got the best price possible!
