Dear Rvijay, You can put chunks of tofu in any dish, such as fried rice, a stir-fry, it doesn't matter. Extra-firm is the most versatile for cooking. On the other hand, if you want to make a smoothie or a "cheese"cake, you want soft tofu. Tofu for cooking is best if you freeze it for a few days, then thaw it, drain the water well, & cut it. It gives it a texture that omnivores say is meat-like. PS I have never heard of "tub of tofu," I am just supposing that it is plain tofu. Yours in Him, Deb
