Per Washington Post, those contaminated peanuts have gone to free school lunch programs  in California, Minnesota, and Idaho. 

My sympathies to all who live there. Somebody yesterday said that they were roasting rats on the peanut trays.

Isn't that sad just because some of the children can't afford lunch they should not have to eat peanuts that aren't good enough for everyone else.

This is terrible!!!  I sure hope somehow this isn't true...Ugh

How sad so very sad ..  I am also so very angry

 This is so unacceptable. Yes, someone does need to go to jail, and perhaps tht company should be eliminated. Our FDA rules need changing, too.

The disabled, poor and elderly and helpless folks are not seldom given short-shrift or neglected or, as here, even harmed through neglect or things like this. Our society needs some grave ethical and moral reform.

Not too long ago it was contaminated beef that was being fed to kids via the free lunch progam. It is so much less expensive and safer to just send our dd out the door with leftovers in the morning. The beef recall put me over the edge during the 07-08 school year. It is a shame that goverment officials can be bought the way they are which makes these rules so lax and puts so many at risk.
