Have you recently purchased this warranty and used a realty company? Call them and get them to back you up if you bought the warranty on recommendation from your realtor. Warranty companies are a PAIN. You have to keep calling them. And use the same language they used for you. If they say they will not repair noises in your HVAC, tell htem your HVAC is not working. They have to repair broken appliances if under the policy. Don't argue, don't try and negotiate. They will try and get by on the "bare minimum." For your pipe, tell them you have a clogged pipe in your house that you need cleaned out. Then ask for the next person, manager, higher-up you can talk to. Use their langauge. If they say they won't fix a pipe outside your house, tell them you have a plumbing problem inside your house that needs immediate attention.
It also doesn't hurt to just ask "if you don't send out someone to do a repair, my policy says you will replace XYZ?" That usually gets someone out to look at the problem. When our dryer quit tumbling (but still was running, just not tumbling so the clothes won't dry and it can start a fire), they kept asking me "is your dryer running?" I acted obtuse and said MY DRYER IS NOT WORKING. IT NEEDS REPAIRED. I'm sure if I would have said, "why yes sir, it is running." they probably would have denied my claim.
Warranty places are insurance companies and the premiums are low so they lose money every time you call. We had a warranty on our house, all electrical and plumbing and all appliances. We have fought 3 times with them. First, a leaking pipe their plumber said was "leaking" prior to our moving in (was he here prior to us moving in? No. Then why did the water pour out 2 days after we closed on the house?). We finally got that fixed after 10 phone calls (not joking--made it up to the president of the company but had help from our realtor). Next was my dryer issue. Third, our furnace would not "light." I could hear it clicking, clicking, clicking but nothing was happening and we had no heat and it was 22 outside. They sent 3 people over and finally, on the 3rd time, the correct part was discovered that wasn't working. After my 3rd call, the warranty rep was starting to get testy and acted like he didn't believe me. I asked ot talk to his supervisor or someone who can authorize a NEW furnace since the company the warranty company is sending out can't seem to fix an appliance covered under my warranty. I said I wouldn't be picky about my new furnace but would like a brand new heat pump. So $200 repair versus $2500 heat pump? The repair man was there that afternoon and finally fixed my furnace (and I refused to pay the $75 fee each time).
Keep going with your company. They only want to do bare minimum and will argue that nothing is covered under your policy. Get your policy out and have it in front of you so they can quote the exact language and you can see what they are referring to.
