Before you say yes,
consider how you will get from place to place.
Discuss this with your
host, friends, family, or anyone else you know who is familiar with the area.

Welcome to Thrifty Living Today, a special way of life for the Twenty-first
Century. My name is Lori Blatzheim and I am your host.
I live in Minnesota, land of 10,000+ lakes and one of
the most variable climates in the States.
This is a beautiful place to live. There are
lots of natural areas; rivers, farmland, and forests. There are also cosmopolitan
cities, athletic teams, schools of higher learning, and mostly friendly people.
However……there is also winter weather. So far
this week our metropolitan St. Paul/ Minneapolis area has had serious problems
with road transportation. Even the native Minnesotans have had problems negotiating slippery
snowy roads and highways.
Just in case you are planning a ski trip or a
visit with friends and relatives in a wintery area consider this.
Ask for help from your host, friends, or
family.
Consider taking a cab or other local
transportation.
Find the safest method you can for your trip
from here to there.
Enjoy yourself and the beauty of winter but
don’t take chances.
