Since I have a dehydrator, I have started drying leftover apples, pears, or bananas that we aren't eating fast enough. The dried fruit is highly portable &amp;amp; stores well, &amp;amp; the heat to dry it also warms the house &amp;amp; the unit is portable so I can dehydrate in any room in the house. - M&lt;/p&gt;
