The School Room: Education at Home

A blog about one family's adventure in homeschooling on a budget

Spooktacular Projects and Crafts

I found a very frugal and fun way to have spooktacular decorations this Halloween.

My daughter loves printable and easy crafts. I found some that we could print, color, cut and paste so I added them to my homeschool planner as holiday themed activities. We had a great time together making several hanging ghosts. My daughter was proud of her work and wanted to display it right away so we decided that hanging from the fireplace mantle would work best for them.

Over the next few days I watched them dangle there and sometimes wildly fly around when air from the vent or an open window would hit them. I was proud to show off her work, looking at them reminds me of the fun we had. Her paper ghosts have quickly become my favorite Halloween decorations.

What a fun and frugal find!

If you would like your home and school to be haunted by the ghosts of fun, here are some great sites that have printables and easy to make crafts:

Halloween Crafts for Children from DLTK

Halloween fun from makingfriends.com

Halloween crafts from Disney Family

Crafts from Caboose
